Pop up Rakugei Koubou

Rakugei Koubou was founded in 1989 as a workshop and design department directly managed by Murata Shoten, which has a long history as a leaf shop in Nishijin, Kyoto. For many years, we have been manufacturing foil, which is one of the characteristics of Nishijin textile. Rakugei Kobo continues to support and protect the technique of weaving gold leaf using this foil, which is said to have been developed over 300 years ago.
While creating contacts with a wide range of genres such as art, design, interior, fashion, etc., we propose innovative designs for domestic and overseas markets.
