- Description
The Gion Festival drawn by woodblock print artist Kenji Takenaka
A major feature of the Gion Festival, which is called “yama,” is the pine decoration called shinmatsu. The dolls and decorative metal fittings that appear in the story of the pine and mountain are worth seeing, and one of the pleasures is to read about the history. It is a work that simply captures the gorgeous colors of the festival and the characteristics of the mountain.
Also suitable for commercially available acrylic frames.
