Collection: Kiseru / Kiseru (Pipe)

It was the main smoking device from the Edo period to the early Showa period, but with the spread of cigarettes, its use faded.

After 1945 in the postwar period they came to be prized as tea utensils and antiques rather than as everyday smoking equipment.

The former include styles preferred by the head of the school, while the latter include items with techniques such as carving and inlay. Today, they are being rediscovered in the world of hobbies and tastes by people of all ages as traditional crafts that allow one to experience "traditional tobacco culture unique to Japan."
