The wood is covered with gold leaf, making the most of the grain of the zelkova wood.
Lacquerware does not get too hot to hold, unlike porcelain or earthenware, even if you pour a very hot drink into it. However, it cannot be used in the microwave or dishwasher.

From creating the base of wood and dry lacquer sculptures, we use decorative techniques such as lacquering, maki-e, raden (spiral painting), carved lacquer, and zonsei (decorative painting).
I also create works using different materials and in collaboration with different industries, not just existing lacquer crafts. I work on a wide range of products, from household fixtures to objects and decorative items.
