The Japanese sense of beauty rises every time they comb their hair

Satsumatsuge wood that is over 35 years old is dried for over 10 years after sawing. It is a portable size boxwood comb that has been carefully processed.
This is the only comb in Kyoto where the boxwood wood is used as a board and the teeth are inserted into the comb.

The "bamboo" mark engraved on the comb makes you feel the responsibility and pride of this product.
Boxwood is very hard and strong, and it has been used by women who want to be beautiful for a long time. Among them, "Satsumatsuge" is particularly hard and is famous for being easy to process.

The kamaboko shape is easy to hold and easy to comb.
When you use a boxwood comb, your hair stays moist and does not generate static electricity, so you can take care of it comfortably. Also, by cleaning your comb with camellia oil, the more you use it, the more lustrous it will become.

The interval between the middle coarse teeth is 2.8mm . There is a difference of 0.6mm compared to the 2.2mm spacing between fine teeth, so it is also recommended for those with long hair or those with loose perms.
A comb that makes you feel gentle every time you brush your hair or care for it.

"Jusanya"

"Jusanya" has long been used as the name of a comb shop in various regions.

Founded in 1875 , the shop is currently run by the fifth generation.

The boxwood used is selected from logs over 30 years old that are grown in Ibusuki, southern Kyushu, and then sawn and smoked to make the comb material. It is then left to rest for over 10 years.

This is the only shop in Kyoto that produces combs from boxwood boards, inserts teeth into them, and then uses a mind-boggling amount of manual labor to complete the entire process. "Jusanya" and That's all.
