It is a sash band of Sanada string.

"Sanada Himo" is said to have been woven and used by Sanada Masayuki and Sanada Yukimura, warlords of the Sengoku period.
The string has high tensile strength and is hard to break.
It is used for a wide variety of purposes, such as armor straps and sword straps for weapons, paulownia box straps proposed by Sen no Rikyu for tea ceremonies, and traditional performing arts such as Kabuki and Kyogen.
