"Neko-dama" Cat ball / no.3034_a

This work by Touto-gama, a kiln located in the mountains of Kyoto, captures a moment in the movement of cats, making them look as if they could come to life at any moment.

On a cold day, the cat is standing in front of the stove, completely round.

It was created with the image of a cowering figure with its limbs tucked in.

The back is decorated with a random glaze pattern inspired by the decorations of shrines and temples and Nishijin-ori textiles.
