A Kyoto spinning top in the shape of a float used in the Gion Festival in Kyoto.

The Ofunahoko floats represent a ship returning triumphantly after winning a battle.

The Ofunahoko floats are paraded with a large gold coin and dragon head on the bow, which is changed every year.

Beautiful Kyo tops are made by hand, one by one, by winding cotton cords (bundles of dyed cotton threads).

Kyo tops are usually made by wrapping cloth around a core rod to make a large body. This one has the shape of a mountain and a hoko, so it is a little difficult to turn, but if it goes well, it will turn beautifully.

Spinning tops are representative of New Year's games. As an auspicious item, such as "going smoothly" and "penetrating the truth", it is very appreciated as a gift.
The appearance of spinning around in a small size will heal your heart.
