The heart that feels is still the same today

The heart that ancient poets felt when they saw the sunset, and the root of the heart that modern people, whose lifestyles have completely changed, feel in the same way.
The Hyakunin Isshu is a collection of these wonderful poems.
This is a fun frame that expresses the emotions of the poets and each selection of poems in the colors of kyokoma.

It was produced by Tamura Shogundo of Karuta Hyakunin Isshu and Kyo Koma Jakkyu.

The images introduce Emperor Tenchi, Emperor Jito, and Ono no Komachi.

There is one each as per 100 images of poets and poems. When ordering, please indicate your favorite poet in the remarks column. If we have the item in stock, we will send it to you immediately.

Jakkyu

This is the only workshop that continues the tradition of "Kyo Koma", a traditional Kyoto craft. "Kyo Koma" originated as "ozashiki" tops made by upper-class women in the "Momoyama" period, by wrapping scraps of "kimono" fabric around a bamboo core. Today, they are made by wrapping flat cotton cord around a bamboo core. Highly artistic tops, such as precise reproductions of the floats used in the "Gion" Festival, are also popular as ornamental pieces.
