Colorful and playful lucky charms
Kyo-koma" is a traditional Kyoto craft made by winding kimono cloth and colorful brocade strings around a core. The set includes three different colored dokugaku (spinning tops). Different colors create different ring patterns when they spin around, and different sizes give different impressions. We hope you will enjoy them while comparing them with each other. Of course, we also recommend these pieces as a small interior decoration for your room.

This is the only workshop that continues the tradition of "Kyo Koma", a traditional Kyoto craft. "Kyo Koma" originated as "ozashiki" tops made by upper-class women in the "Momoyama" period, by wrapping scraps of "kimono" fabric around a bamboo core. Today, they are made by wrapping flat cotton cord around a bamboo core. Highly artistic tops, such as precise reproductions of the floats used in the "Gion" Festival, are also popular as ornamental pieces.
