Tanba Urushi Project

A bowl made using lacquer from the Tanba region only, with the lacquer tree grown in Yakuno (Fukuchiyama City) also used for the base after harvesting the lacquer.

The lacquer is applied after the freshly cut lacquer wood is scraped and allowed to naturally warp.

It features a profound color and lightness.

It can also be used as a matcha bowl.
