A Breeze of Kyoto in Your Hands

Delicately illustrated in soft, gentle colors, this fan features some of Kyoto’s most beloved landmarks, including the Gion Festival, the Daimonji bonfire, and the Kamo River. Each wave of the fan evokes the charm and refreshing atmosphere of Kyoto in summer. Its subtle color palette creates an elegant and approachable impression, making it suitable for both everyday use and seasonal occasions.

The guard rib is intricately carved with the character “京” (Kyō, meaning Kyoto), while a small ceramic bead crafted from Kiyomizu ware adorns the pivot. Rakufūsen is an original fan created by Onishi Kyosendo, featuring motifs inspired by Kyoto’s scenery and seasonal traditions, and has been cherished for more than half a century.
