This chopstick rest is inspired by the Tanba chestnut, a regional specialty of Kyoto. It is crafted from cast iron produced at a foundry in Fukuchiyama City and finished with shu-tame lacquer using locally produced Tanba lacquer.
Presented in a gift box, it also makes an ideal gift.
