Bonbonniere / In Europe, there is a custom of giving sugar confectionery (bonbon) at celebratory occasions, and it was a gift that was popular in various countries. Many of them were given in elaborately decorated containers, and from Japan, starting with official Imperial events during the Meiji period, silver, ceramic, and lacquer or mother-of-pearl decoration began to be given, and they became known as "bonbonnieres" and gained popularity.

This white porcelain bonbonniere was decorated using a technique that the fourth generation owner of Kouson Kiln named "Tsuchibasami," inspired by the Japanese confectionery "Hasami Kiku ."

It has the beauty of a chrysanthemum and the cuteness of Japanese sweets.
