In 1872 (Meiji 5 ), Torii Chobei Shoten, a dealer in brocade robes for Shinto and Buddhist deities, was founded on the south side of the Kyoto Imperial Palace.
In 1912 (Meiji 45), we began as a wholesaler of brocade and satin fabrics used for hanging scrolls, sliding doors, and folding screens, and have grown alongside the history of mounting.

Currently, he is often involved in the restoration of national treasures and important cultural properties.  "Mounting cloth" Returning to its charm, the " TORII Re PROJECT " aims to bring "mounting cloth" to life by giving it modern functionality and a sophisticated feel. We are focusing on passing this on to the next generation.
