Kouson Kiln, with over 100 years of history
The first generation of Kouson Kiln's founder, Hayashi Enzan, refined the celadon that showed the rich maturity of the Chinese Song Dynasty while still following traditional manufacturing techniques in pursuit of a deeper color. This resulted in a celadon with a unique color that is elegant and has a deep, soft color that is unique to Kouson Kiln.

Koson Kiln
Chawanzaka is a street lined with Kiyomizu-yaki potteries. Located halfway up the slope is Koson Kiln, a Porcelain factory with over 100 years of history, founded in 1915 by the founder, Eijiro Hayashi.
By inheriting and pursuing the techniques of the white porcelain and celadon porcelain that represent Koson Kiln, the simple works that are unique to Koson Kiln today have been developed.
In order to further blaze a trail in tradition, he creates works that incorporate a breath of new life.
