Kyo-tsugegushi (Boxwood comb)

Tsugegushi, which is said to make hair look beautiful without causing static electricity, is made over a long period of time and effort. Starting with the selection of raw wood, detailed work such as fumigation, drying, board tightening, tooth grinding, and molding continues. Among them, the tooth-grinding process involves sawing the combs one by one, rubbing the teeth with a horsetail, further polishing them with the teeth of a muku, and polishing them with a uzukuri process.
