"Ikkan-bari" tray, a household item made from layers of Japanese paper and finished with lacquer

"Ikkanbari" is a technique in which bamboo baskets or wooden products are covered with layers of Japanese paper and then finished with a coating of persimmon tannins or lacquer.

Perfect for serving small dishes during coffee or tea time, or as a dessert plate by placing a kaishi paper on it.
