- Description
What should be preserved is technology and aesthetic sense. From the old and good to the new and good
This plate was created through a collaboration between a sixth-generation Japanese confectioner at a long-established Japanese confectionery shop in Kyoto and a Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki craftsman, with the aim of finding the best way to display Japanese confectionery.
By sticking to hand-molding on a potter's wheel and making many prototypes, we created a thin, light and beautiful flat plate that was unlike anything that had ever been seen before.
Nowadays, there are many requests for these plates not only for Japanese sweets but also as small or serving plates, and they have become an extremely popular series of flat plates that blend into modern lifestyles.
