by 丹嘉
$38.00Choro is a kadotsuki performer who visited houses in Kyoto during the New Year from the end of the Edo period to the middle of the Meiji period. A kadotsuki is a type of street performer who pretends to be a god and begs for money by standing at the door of a private house and uttering words of blessing, hokkaigoto.
Paper was pasted on a bamboo basket that half of the body was hidden , and a bizarre expression was drawn on it from the head to the waist.
Fushimi dolls are even more exaggerated and no longer have two heads. This is Tokusu Choro.
