Tamba Chestnut Chopstick Rest
Inspired by the Tamba chestnut, a renowned specialty of the region, this chopstick rest is cast at a foundry in Fukuchiyama, northern Kyoto.
It is finished in shu-tame, a traditional lacquer technique that creates a rich, translucent reddish-brown surface, using locally sourced Tamba urushi lacquer.
Presented in a gift box, it makes a thoughtful gift as well as an elegant addition to the dining table.
