This portable-sized boxwood comb is made from domestically produced Satsuma tsuge wood that has been cut and left to rest for over 10 years before being carefully processed and finished, along with a dedicated case with a lid to protect the comb's teeth when carrying it around .

| Care instructions and handling precautions |
Boxwood combs should not be washed with water or detergent, and should be treated with camellia oil or similar products on a regular basis (once a month) to keep them clean and prevent them from getting dirty. The more you use them, the shinier they will become.
The case is made of a backing, so do not wash it with water.

|Other|
Since we use natural wood from Jusoya, there may be small lines, dot-like stains, and color unevenness that are unique to boxwood.

"Jusanya"

"Jusanya" has long been used as the name of a comb shop in various regions.

Founded in 1875 , the shop is currently run by the fifth generation.

The boxwood used is selected from logs over 30 years old that are grown in Ibusuki, southern Kyushu, and then sawn and smoked to make the comb material. It is then left to rest for over 10 years.

This is the only shop in Kyoto that produces combs from boxwood boards, inserts teeth into them, and then uses a mind-boggling amount of manual labor to complete the entire process. "Jusanya" and That's all.
