Collection: Kyo-koma
Kyoto tops were first made as toys for upper-class women during the Azuchi-Momoyama period.
It is made by wrapping kimono cloth or cotton string, and is characterized by its beautiful texture and color. It is a tatami top for indoor play that is easy to spin with just your fingertips and can be spun on tatami mats or on a table. After making the core rod, making the flat string, and wrapping the body, we finish by adjusting the shape and fixing it. Depending on the case, decorations such as gold thread or painting are applied.
