Nanasuji ichimatsu - Seven lined check pattern [horizontal]
“Ichimatsu" refers to a check pattern and is also called "ishidatami" (stone paving).
The name "ichimatsu" is believed to be derived from the Edo period kabuki actor Sanogawa Ichimatsu, for whom the check pattern was a favorite for use on his kimono.
