Tin "Seishi" teapot / no.1618
by 清課堂
£496.00Seikado was founded in the late Edo period in the 9th year of Tempo as a tin maker. Tin and silver products, which we have been good at since our founding, have a unique texture as they are used for a long time.
A teapot named after one of the Four Great Beauties of China, Seishi.
In ancient China, plump women were considered beautiful, so teapots with rounded, feminine shapes have been likened to Xishi.
Please enjoy the finely crafted craftsmanship such as round jade picking that matches the plump and lovely shape, finely applied hammer marks, and wisteria roll handles, along with delicious tea.
