$24.00A Kyoto spinning top in the shape of a float used in the Gion Festival in Kyoto.
Named after the Kikusui well, an ancient well in the town, the float head is adorned with golden chrysanthemum flowers.
Beautiful Kyo tops are made by hand, one by one, by winding cotton cords (bundles of dyed cotton threads).
This is the small size.
Since it is a "kyo-koma", the top part can be removed and turned.
