A set of incense, incense burner, and incense holder, based on "Hanachirusato," the eleventh chapter of the Tale of Genji.
The incense (Hanachirusato) has a sweet and refreshing scent reminiscent of tangerine.
The incense plate is modeled after a picture scroll, and features a tangerine and a cuckoo. The incense holder is modeled after the shape of a twenty-seventh moon. Both are Kyoto ware pottery. The incense plate and holder are handmade, so each one has a slightly different texture.
"The Tale of Genji," a treasure of classical literature, and "incense," which has been loved since ancient times. Experience the graceful elegance of a thousand years as you unravel the connections between these two worlds.
